I am a proud father of 2 little ladies and have created my own technique on how to teach them different things. Here is a good technique. My wife and I bought a rough looking hanging plastic parrot from the salvation army for 50 cents. We named the bird
petey and hung it in an open area. Within a week we taught my oldest child who was 1 1/2 years old who
petey was, what
petey was and where
petey was. This all sounds goofy but here is the funny part it worked. How did it work? My daughter could associate a word with an object and the location every time you asked her about
petey. This is just a building block to
exercise there memory and comprehension. I am not a professional, but have 2 little girls and that makes me a professional.
